Notes: John had remained in Ulster Province in the far north of Ireland when his parents emigrated to America. In about 1733, in Coleraine, County Londonderry, John married Rebekah Clark who had been born in that area in about 1720. With their then three young children, John and Rebekah also emigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, purportedly aboard the "VillageBelle", arriving about 1737. They colonized land in Martic Township in southern Lancaster County just a few miles northwest of John's parents. John married Rebecca Clark 1733, Coleraine, Ulster, Ireland. Rebecca (daughter of William Clark and Margaret) was born Abt 1720, Coleraine, Ulster, Ireland; died 1 Jul 1823, Belwood, Cleveland County, North Carolina; was buried Knob Creek Cemetery, Belwood, Cleveland County, North Carolina.
