    Notes:

    On Tom's death certificate it gives his father's name as Jasper Queen and
    in the obiturary for his sister it says his name is Jeff Queen.

    Thomas Queen and Annie Jones received their marriage license on 9 September
    1902 and were married on 21 September 1902. They were married by J. W. Wood DD
    and the witnesses were A.B. Medford, Jean Hendrix and Gather McClure (Haywood
    County Marriage Record Index. Page 38)

    Tom was a lumberman and he ran a logging operation and a store in the Sunburst
    section of Haywood County. The area is now known as lake logan. He was killed
    in a train wreck there while taking groceries to one of the logging camps. He
    is buried in Locust Field Cemetery.

    Hampton "Hamp" Queen, son of Jeptha Queen and Lucinda Brackin, verified by a
    letter from Wib Queen to Dr. Brackin also by Anne Jones, and Edna Queen. He is
    not found in any census. There is an H. Queen buried at Sol's Creek Baptist
    Church Cemetery who may be him. The dates are born 19 January 1883 and died 20
    May 1906. The date of birth would be about right.

    U.S.Navy from August 1951 until August of 1955. Most of this time was aboard
    the destroyer USS D. J. Buckley DDR 808. He was employed by the Ecusta
    Paper Co. for about forty-four years. In 1995 he was retired.

    Kate passed away after a long battle with M/S. She was buried in Crawford
    Memorial Cemetery.

    Government at Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated as a State Trooper. He was
    stationed in Ashe County where he met and later married Charlotte Severt. Jon
    was promoted to Inspector in the License and Theft Division and he and
    Charlotte moved to Shelby, North Carolina. After twenty years, he retired and
    in 1995 worked at the Du Pont Corporation in Shelby.
