    Caswell T. Ogle served in Company E and H, 9th Regiment of Tennessee Cavalry Volunteers during the Civil War. He enlisted on 1 Oct 1863 and was discharged 11 Sep 1865 at Knoxville, Tennessee. His personal description was as follows: "Height, 6 feet 1 inches; complexion, fair; color of eyes, gray; color of hair, light."

    Lived in the New Era community of Sevier County, Tennessee. Later moved to Roane County, Tennessee near Rockwood and lived there until death.

    Listed in the 1870 and 1880 Federal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee.
