MR. BALES, 16045 Wallace St., Dona Vista, died Saturday, Jan. 3. He owned and operated Bales Motel, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Born in Sevier County, Tenn., he moved to Central Florida in 1955. He was a member of Laurel Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Gatlinburg. Survivors: sons, Rubin O., Dona Vista, Russell, Gatlinburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Umatilla.
