She is survived by her husband, Harold Smith; son and daughter-in- law, Larry and Chrissy Smith; son, Keith Smith all of Newport; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Teresa Sheffey of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Caden and Blade Smith, Jeff Butler; great granddaughter, Jada Butler, all of Newport; aunt Hazel Ownby, Knoxville; also other family and friends. Family and friends will meet at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010, for a graveside service. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Gorrell and Rev. Rick Spell. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 212 Washington Ave., Newport, TN 37821 or Providence Baptist Church , P. O. Box 881 Newport, Tn. 37822.
