September 04, 1974 - January 17, 2017 Mark Keith Self, age 42, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was a 20 year veteran of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. He was a lifetime member of the Newport Rescue Squad with several years of dedicated service to the EMS field. He graduated from King University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He was part of the Manley Church and Magna View Baptist Church family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Anita Self; grandparents, Thomas and Annie Hall and Etta Allen. He is survived by his wife Stacy Self; son, Andrew Self; daughter, Allison Self; father, Keith Self; sisters, Tammy Self Williford and Jennifer Self McMillan; mother-in-law, Charlene Spurgeon; father-in-law and his wife, Randy and Pat Spurgeon; sisters-in-law, Becky Waddell and Stephanie Miller; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Manley Baptist Church, Morristown, TN. The funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Manley Baptist Church, with Rev. George Miller and Rev. Tony Buchanan. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
