Mrs. Ruby Bible Fox, age 71, of Riles Circle, Greeneville, TN, passed away late Tuesday night, August 27, 2002 at Takoma Adventist Hospital.
She was a retired nurse, having worked at Greeneville Hospital. Mrs. Fox attended Mt. Zion Church of God as long as her health permitted. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Libby and Kevin Mathes, and four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jannelle Reece, Jackie and Phyllis Reece, Danny and Estella Reece, and Steven Michael Reece, all of Newport; six grandsons, one granddaughter, and one special granddaughter-in-law: Israel Mathes, Rusty Reece, Randy and Susan Reece, Danny Reece, Benjamin Reece, Jackie Reece, and Michelle Reece, also of Newport; four great-grandchildren; a sister and a brother-in-law, Frances and Lawrence Hartsell, of Newport; and six nieces.
Her husband, Thomas David Fox; a grandson, Coty E. Mathes; her parents, Arlie Weaver and Pearl Ellison Bible; as well as a brother, Jack Bible, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 31st, 2002 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Cemetery. Reverend Vincent Askew will officiate.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, August 29th and August 30th, 2002 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
