Mamie Judy Blazer, age 89, of Newport passed away, June 25, 2008 at The Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was surrounded by a wonderful church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy H. Blazer; parents, Lemuel and Elvira Johnson Hartsell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Bea Hartsell, Wallace and Bea Hartsell; sisters, Eunice Denny and husband Jake, Polly Pounder; brother-in-law, John B. Gentry; grandson, Charles Allen Holt, Jr. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Marcus Ellenburg of Mosheim, Midge and C. A. Holt, of Newport, Betty and Eugene Cutshaw of Newport;sister, Dorothy Gentry of Kentucky; grandchildren, Vickie Ellenburg Belcher, Becky Holt Parker, Sidney Ellenburg, Randy Holt, Joe Cutshaw, Mary Ellenburg Hankins, Steven Cutshaw, Mike Holt, Susan Ellenburg Alexander, Judy Ellenburg Pearson, Marcia Ellenburg Hopson and Tommy Cutshaw; twenty three great grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; special loved ones Danny, Gwen, Tiffany and Monty Dover, and Doris Ottinger; many special nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, June 27, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel., with Rev. Steve Thompson officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 28, 2008 in Salem Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
