Frieda Gail Blazer Clark, 51, of Newport, passed away Thursday, July 13, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a member of Rankin Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Lucille Blazer. Her survivors include a loving husband of 30 years, John A. Clark; daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Allen Crumbley and Chandra Lindsey Presnell; one granddaughter, Brooke Presnell, all of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Tommy Cody; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Carol Blazer; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Seals and Keith Sutton officiating, with interment following in the Rankin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Marshall, Clifford Marshall, Darrell Manning, Eric Ellison, Mike Strange, and Barry Ellison. Manes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
