Juanita Sue Finchum Nichols, born June 29, 1926, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She attended First Church of God of Del Rio, until declining health. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Annie Finchum; sister, Pearl Osteen, Chesnee, SC; brothers, Dairell Finchum, Del Rio, Bill Finchum, Del Rio, TN; and her beloved dog “Raven”. She is survived by her loving husband, of 62 years, Jack Nichols of Del Rio; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jeff Cooper of Newport, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Diana Nichols of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Beth Cooper of Crossville, TN, Christina Ferguson of Tacoma, WA, Brook Nichols of Pigeon Forge, Andrea Nichols, Judy Nichols and Mark Ivarra all of Round Rock, TX; great grandchildren, Mary Ferguson, Harrison Ferguson and Jacob Sizemore; sisters, Lois Moore, Essie Stokely and Dean Smith all of Del Rio.. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 23, 2007 followed by funeral services at 8:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Robert Ashley and Brother Bobby Morrison officiating. The family will meet at Jonestown Cemetery 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 24, 2007 for Graveside Services. The nephews will serve as pallbearers and her church family as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Del Rio First Church of God, Salvation Army or charity of choice.
