(November 17, 1917 - August 1, 2006) Stella Mae Godfrey, age 88, of Parrottsville, passed away, Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Godfrey; son, Kenneth Morris Godfrey; grandson, Steve Godfrey; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mary E. Webb of Parrottsville; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Doyle McGaha of Newport; grandchildren, Donna Knight, Sylvia Brown, Robin Coakley, Tonya Webb, Chad Webb, Debra Dyke, Denise Ottinger, William Ellison and Lorie Holliway; also several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 4, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Fred Gregg officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, August 3, 2006 at Manes Funeral Home.
