HANSHAW, ADA ARLONE - age 77 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, August 13, 2007. She was an active member of Cumberland Baptist Church and retired from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister, who embraced everyday she was given. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roe and Susie Parks, and by her brother Roe, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth M. Hanshaw; her sons Kenneth R. Hanshaw and Mark E. Hanshaw; her brother Everett Parks; her sisters Marjorie Teague, Juanita Mullins, Jewelene Travis; her grandchildren, Grace Hanshaw, Sara Hanshaw and Mark E. Hanshaw, Jr. and by many other family members who will miss her and loved her. The family will receive friends at Weaver Funeral Home Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately. The graveside service will be held Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Highland Memorial Cemetery and led by Rev. Gene Fleming and Rev. Wade Bibb. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to National Parkinson's Foundation. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
