Pauline Webb Miller, age 85, of Newport, passed away peacefully, April 7, 2016 at Newport Convalescent Center, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Pauline had fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s for the last ten years of her life. Pauline was a faithful member of West End Baptist Chruch where she attended until her illness. She loved singing in the choir and being with her church family. Pauline enjoyed so many things. She quilted beautifully and they will be cherished including the one she is resting under. Pauline was an avid painter and loved a variety of arts, crafts and scrapbooking. Pauline was preceded in death by her soul mate Thomas Ray ‘Wormey’ Miller, the light of her life, with whom she was married to for 60 years. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Huff; father, Robert Webb; brother, Bobby Webb and sister, Hazel Brockwell. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary Ray and Mary Lynne Miller; granddaughter, Jamie Lynne Miller; special nieces, Larine K. Hance and Elaine Wester; great-niece, Karen H. Butler and special friend Linda Owens; also several, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tom Mooty officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Newport Convalescent Center and Staff, especially Kim Thomas for their loving care. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Alzheimer’s of Tennessee or West End Baptist Church. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com.
