Donnie Reed Stokely age 64, of Newport, died Sunday evening at his home. Donnie played lead guitar with several groups and bands in the area. He was preced in death by his parents Frank and Edna Stokely, brother Bobby Stokely and granddaughter Tiffany Nicole Belcher. He is survived by his daughter Sonya Lewis of Newport, sisters Juanita Raines, Betty (Elmer) Barnes and Margaret Raines of Newport. Grandchildren Chassity Belcher, Stephanie Belcher, Kasandra Belcher, Hollie Lewis and Donya Lewis all of Newport, also six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Fred Lane and Jeff Shelton. Funeral service will be 7 pm Wednesday at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5 til 7 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Graveside service will be 2 pm Thursday at the Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James and Ronnie Raines, Greg Gibson, Billy Smallwood, Dustin Renner and Philip Sprague.
