Obituary: Wanda “Annette” Jones Parrott left this world and entered Heaven on Saturday, May 26, 2012. For the last year and a half she had been a resident of Jefferson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson City. Annette was born on May 17, 1942 to parents Luther “Fisher” Johnson and Fannie Marie Johnson. She worked hard all her life and with the help of her mother, she raised two wonderful sons. Many may affectionately remember Annette from her many years as a local cook. She worked many places over the years but the Family Farm Restaurant was an employer she spent many years with. When she was able to go, she enjoyed attending Edgemont Church of God; she enjoyed the preaching and good singing. One of her favorite things she enjoyed in life was her family and her four grandchildren, who will greatly miss her. Annette was preceded in death by her father Luther “Fisher” Johnson, mother Fannie Marie Johnson, brothers Junior, Tommy, Robert, Joe and Ruble Johnson, sisters Mary Clay Johnson, Nora Johnson Smelcer, Retha Johnson Miller and Una Johnson Rimmer. Survivors include her sons Frank Jones (Nancy), Mark Jones (Candy), grandchildren Lucas, Riley, Caroline, and Jesse Jones all of Newport, brother Steve Johnson (Jana) of Newport and their daughter Lindsey whom she loved as her grandchild, brother George Johnson (Marie) of Oneida, step-grandchildren Tina Miller (Chris) of Knoxville, Bobbie Sue Beauchamp, Sam Warren (Jessica) and Allen Warren all of Newport, step-great-grandchildren April Beauchamp of Garden City, GA, Perry Keyes of Newport, Noah, Dakota and Elizabeth Miller of Knoxville, Emily and Gracie Warren of Newport. Annette will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Wells officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Hills Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
