Juanita "Beedie" Brooks, 74, of Newport died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Sevier County Health Care Center.She was a member of West End Baptist Church.Her parents were George and Rhoda Griffin Allen. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother.Survivors include her husband, A.J. Brooks of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and H.C. Reese of Dandridge and Jaynean and Joe Cody of Newport; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Sherri Brooks of Sevierville; six grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Ella and Edward Kyker of Newport; brother, Earl G. Allen of Newport; and brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Louise Allen of Newport; and four great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Sunday at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tom Mooty and Pastor Ross Woody officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Union Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
