He was a member of Conner Heights Baptist Church. He was a little league coach for many years in Pigeon Forge. He was preceded in death by his wife Effie Ezalea Ownby, parents William and Luemma Ownby, brothers Luther and Chester Ownby. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law: Robert Junior and Barbara Jean Ownby Daughter and Son-in-law: Aileen and Thomas Owens Grandson: Bobby Owens and wife Lisa Granddaughters: Donna Wlas and husband Joe Karen Sue Mikels and husband Roy Debra Lynn Hankin and husband Todd Great Grandchildren: Brian, Jeff, and Jenny Wlas, Bo and Rebekah Owens, Kurt, T.J., Lucas, and Nathan Hankin, Doug and Brittany Mikels Several Nieces and Nephews Funeral service 10AM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.
