Eugene “Stan” McCarter, age 68, of Sevierville, slipped away quietly to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning July 29, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anne Adelle McCarter, parents, Callie and Amos McCarter, brothers, J.C. and Charlie McCarter, and sister, Louise Ogle.
Survivors:
Children: Dotty and Ricky Brackins, Buddy and Phillis Bohanan, Nancy and Jimmy Sutton, Jimmy and Tammy Bohanan
Grandchildren: Bradley Brackins, Rusty, Cody, and Courtney Ball, Marisa Sutton, Holly, Tray, Andrew, Tyler, and Corey Bohanan

Funeral service 7 PM Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dan King officiating. Interment 10 AM Saturday in Pigeon Forge Methodist Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
