Dorothy Jane Mooneyham Rader, age 86, of Newport passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005 in Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. She was a member of West End Baptist Church and a life member of DAV Chapter 102 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Rader; son, John Wayne Rader; granddaughter, Michelle Reneau; parents, James and Sarah Jane Mooneyhan; brothers, Houston, Walter, Glen, and Garland Mooneyhan; sisters, Orpha and Cynthia Mooneyhan, Susie Gregg, Annie Ottinger, and Emily Hawk.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Gene Layman, Dorothy Ann Styles, and Judy Marlene Rader, all of Newport; grandchildren, Todd Layman of Knoxville, Tim and Ruth Ann Layman, Angel and Craig Gregg, all of Newport; great-grandchildren, Caleb Allen Gregg, Miriah “Dee Dee” Reneau, Tracie Layman, Camryn and Carlye Gregg; sister, Mrs. Therian (Elsia) Ayers; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Mooneyhan and Mable Philbeck of Greeneville; also several nieces and nephews who were very special to her.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Mooty officiating with burial in the Union Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
