SPARTANBURG -- Naomi Banks Hoppes, 70, of 445 Royal Oak Drive, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hoppes was born in Pacolet on April 21, 1934, to the late William Edgar and Nora Seay Banks. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church for over forty years, a member of the choir and the Eloyce Graves Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband, Harry C. Hoppes, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Donna Naomi Hoppes of Spartanburg; a son and daughter-in-law, David Kerry and Kathy J. Hoppes of Spartanburg; a grandson, Ryan Michael Deyoung of Greer; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nora B. and Glenn Liles of Spartanburg, and Elsie B. and Walter Gentry of Temple, TX; a brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Peggy Nicholas Banks of Spartanburg; and Jeff Deyoung of Greer. She was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening, March 7, 2005, at the Lanford-Dunbar Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard D. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of the son and daughter-in-law, 1777 Carolina Country Club Road.
