Ethel Woody Moore, age 90, of Newport, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Mariner Health of Newport.
On January 25, 1915, Ethel was born in Cocke County to the late D.C. and Mary Seay Woody. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Moore. Ethel was one of nine children and her brothers Crawford, Ray, and Paul Woody, sisters, Eulaphine Woody and Magnolia Woody Bryant preceded her in death.
Mourning Ethel’s passing, but celebrating the life she lived, are her sisters, Arlevia Woody Wall, Clarene Woody Pack and husband, Frank; brother, Luther Woody and wife, Audrey. In addition to the immediate family, Ethel will be missed by M.E. Woody, a sister-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Ethel Woody Moore.
