SUTTON, BUREL EDWARD - age 82, of Knoxville, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1928 at Metcalf Bottoms. He was a member of Zion Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Tipton and Edith Davis Sutton; sisters, Barbara Sutton and Ann Dossett. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Burgin Sutton; son, the pride of his life, Burel Edward "Eddie" Sutton, Jr. and wife Patsy Crisp Sutton, who cared for us so we could remain in our home for the last 4 years; granddaughters, Beth and Samantha; great-granddaughters, Madie and Hannah; great-grandsons, Jacob, Jarren, Miles, and Wyatt; brothers-in-law, Bruce Burgin and his wife Kathern, and Charles Dossett; sister-in-law, Shirley Burgin Webb and husband Gordon. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice Service workers who gave him such special care. The family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. at Edgewood Cemetery on Saturday, July 3, 2010, for a 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service with Reverend Clay Mulford officiating.
