(April 12, 1915 - October 25, 2014) Nellie Moore Ponder age 99 of Del Rio passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014, she was one of ten children born to William and Selma Sexton Moore of Del Rio. She was active in her Church, Jones Chapel Methodist until her health did not permit her to attend. Preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Ponder; parents; and all siblings, brothers, Howard, Nathan, Estel, Haze and Charlie Moore; sisters Leora Moore, Lena Russell, Clara King and Addie Mae Moore. Nellie is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Don Valentine; son and daughter-in-law, John and Carla Ponder; and granddaughter, Tye Ponder. Aunt Nellie was loved dearly by many nieces, nephews. Special Thanks to Carolyn Ramsey, a special family member and to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and staff. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at Jonestown Cemetery with Chaplain Ron Carrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel prior to graveside services.
