Tommy James, age 76, of Del Rio, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Aletha James; father of Colleen James Handrych and husband Gerald, Lorettia James Watts and husband Charles, all of Del Rio; son, Daniel James and wife Veronica, of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Lena Burgess, of Newport, and Lona Parker, of New Jersey; brother, Bill James, of Memphis; twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2005, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Murr and Dr. Charlie Bogan officiating, with burial in Stokely Cemetery in Del Rio. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2005, at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
