Nellie Faye Gentry, age 63, of Del Rio, passed away Monday, January 3, 2005, at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Effie Burgin; sisters, Eunice Shoemaker and Dorothy Ellison; brothers, Robert and Ed Burgin; brothers-in-law, Dick Gentry, James Ball, Charlie Barrett, Elmer (Bud) Ellison, Lonnie Woody, and Hazel Norwood.
She is survived by Carl (Jabo) Gentry, of Del Rio; sons, Brent Gentry, of Del Rio, and Jeff Gentry, of Newport; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Essie Burgin, of Del Rio; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Henry Norwood, of Del Rio; sister, Marie Norwood, of Newport; sisters-in-law, Linda Burgin, of Ohio; Betty Gorrell, of Parrottsville; Grace Ball, of Newport; Carolyn Gentry, of Hot Springs, N.C.; brother-in-law, Jerry Gentry, of Newport; special nieces and nephews; her caregivers; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2005, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Murr, Brother Kenny Burgin, and Brother Eric Peters officiating, with burial in Jonestown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home.
