(March 22, 1936 - September 26, 2016) U.S. Veteran Charles T. "Chuck" Henderson, age 80 of Newport, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Henderson; step daughter, Tammy Stone; sisters, Ruth O’Dell and Thelma Britt; parents, John T. and Ella Mae Henderson; and brothers-in-law, R.D. Cogburn, Jim Britt, and Sam O’Dell. He is survived by his step-son, Timmy Gilbert; step-daughters, Poochie Gilbert and Jessie Gowan; sisters, Elaine Cogburn and Carolyn (Gene) Bradshaw; the loves of his life, grandson Cody Gilbert and Brooklyn and Ian Stoner; and great-grandson, Gatlin Gilbert. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Tommy Golmon officiating.
