Mrs. Georgia Kennedy, 81, of Cosby, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2006, after a lengthy stay at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Cosby Church of Christ and a prominent businesswoman and a well-known artist in the East Tennessee area. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Shults McFalls; her husband, Leslie Sutton Sr.; one son, Leslie Sutton Jr.; and one daughter, Barbara Jean Sutton. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Kennedy, of the home, and children, Shirley and husband Gene Fish, of Cosby; Jerry and wife Sherry Sutton, of Morristown; and Teresa Sutton Sherrill and husband Michael, of Knoxville. Georgia will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her family and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 20, 2006, from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Preacher Olie Williamson officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Tritt Cemetery in Cosby. The funeral procession will meet at Brown Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Georgia Kennedy.
