Elizabeth Ann Runnion Kane, of Oregon, passed away Saturday, October 3, after a four-year struggle with the complications of throat cancer after being a long-time smoker.
Lib, as her family and friends called her, grew up in the Newport area. Most of her adult life was spent in Maryland and Oregon with her husband, Steve, and she enjoyed the close company of their three daughters, Carol, Stephanie and Elisa.
She was deeply attached to her six grandchildren, Amber and Nina Natirboff, Arthur Riddle and Michelle, Michael and Martin Vineyard.
Her sister, Margaret Kirby, lives in Knoxville, and her sister-in-law, Millie Pemberton, is of Morristown.
Lib loved the ocean and her cremains have been placed there.
A memorial service will be held in the Dandridge chapel of the Farrar Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, at 2 p.m. No flowers, please, but a donation to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
