He is survived by his wife, Viola Stokely Jones of Del Rio; sons, Billy Gene Jones and John Paul Jones, both of Del Rio; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Vonda Jones, Donnie and Mary Ann Jones, and Connie and Louise Jones, all of Del Rio; daughter, Nellie Swanger of Del Rio; daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Carl Frazier of Del Rio, Shirley and Roger Hurst of Newport and Marie and Ricky Holt of Newport; sister, Janie Nelson of Georgia; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Bill Murr officiating, with burial in Stokely Cemetery.
