Died: 12-14-1999 Claude Curtis Stokely, 79, of Del Rio, passed away Sunday at the Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee in Knoxville.
He was a member of the Jones Chapel Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dora Guy Stokely; two sisters; and nine brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Woody Stokely of Del Rio; his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Carolyn Stokely of Spartanburg, South Carolina; his daughter, Dora Kate Stokely of Del Rio; daughters and sons-in-law, Nellie and Wayne Haney and Wanda Faye and Edward Strange of Del Rio; his sisters, Hester Woody and Eula Mae Wilburn of Del Rio; his brothers, Pete Stokely of Del Rio, Jack Stokely of Morristown, and Paul Stokely of Dandridge; his grandchildren, Cathy Stokely, Freida Butler, Cynthia Jackson, Debra Stokely, Angel Strange, and Rodney, Anthony and Curtis Haney; his great-grandchildren, Rochell Haney, James Lee Owen, and Marrisa and Clark Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Murr and Rev. David Cochron ofÞciating. Interment will be in Jonestown Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home was in charge.
