Cannon, William “Carl” of Maryville passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the family home. He attended Victory Baptist Church and retired from the United States Army serving in Vietnam. Preceded in death by: Father. L. Carl Cannon; Brother, Donald Wayne Cannon. Survivors include: Wife, Marilyn Cannon; Son, William Carl Cannon Jr. of Knoxville; Son and Daughter-in-law, Gregory L. & Linda Cannon of Maryville; Daughter and Son-in-law, Sandra & Jeff Price of Bolivia; Grandchildren, Rachel Nicole Cannon, Joshua Tyler Cannon, Johnathan Taylor Price, Christopher Jordan Price, and Donald Wyatt Price; Mother, Sally Cannon of Alcoa; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Gary Dale & Janice Cannon of Seymour and Roger Anthony & Joanie Cannon of Murfreesboro; Sister and Brother-in-law, Margaret & Wallace Ogle of Maryville; Sister, Doris Cannon Poppelreiter of Maryville; Nieces and Nephews, Leah Cannon, Sarah Cannon, Eric Poppelreiter, Brian Popplreiter, Deborah Ogle Ernsberger; Special friends, Joe & Amy DeLeCruz, Bill & Donna Rymer, and Brenda Edington. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Friday, October 20, 2006 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Rob Hoffman officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery.
