He was a member of Williams Fall Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Owens; mother, Shirley Prince; brother, Glenn Owens and grandmother, Leona Owens. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Owens; son, Joshua Owens; grandson, Jasper Owens; mother, Mary Frances Owens; brothers, Johnny Owens and wife Mary, Alan Owens and wife Teresa, Jimmy Owens and Danny Owens; brothers-in-law, Ronald Whaley and wife Terry, Gary Whaley and wife Sheila, Timmy Whaley; sisters-in-law, Darlene Cline and husband Ed, Deloris Hurst and husband Jimmy, Judy McCarter, Betty Whaley; special friends, Steve and Gail Matthews and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to benefit the family may be made to Atchley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 12 noon – 2 PM Wednesday at Williams Fall Church of God with funeral service to follow at 2 PM. Rev. Charlie Bruce will officiate.
