HICKEY, BENNIE RICHARD - age 72 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, September 1, 2003 at the Parkwest Hospital. He was a member of the Marshill Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Hickey and his mother, Edna Helmboldt and his brother, George Hickey. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret Hickey sons, Larry and daughter in law, Alice, Perry Hickey and Bob Hickey all of Knoxville daughter, Kathy Johnson, Connie Thomas and son in law, Clyde and Kimberley Detienne and son in law, Aaron all of Knoxville grandchildren, Kari Larkin, Michael Hickey, Brittny Detienne, Courtney Thomas great grandchildren, Ethan Cook and Robert Larkin, III sisters, Mildred Dixon and Louise McMahan both of Knoxville several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends. A very special thank you to Margaret's family for all your help and support through our time of need. Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Piney Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Marshill Baptist Church Building Fund.
