He was an avid farmer and was retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart and Stella Watts; brother, Ray Watts; sister, Pauline Watts; mother and father-in-law, Edd and Jane Sutton; brothers-in-law, Dean Sutton, Benny Sutton, Conley Sutton, Eddie Sutton, Tim Sutton, Glen Henry and David Parton. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sue Sutton Watts; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Marti Watts; daughter, Tammy Watts and fiancé Smiley Rochester; grandchildren, Whitney Johnson and husband Jonathan, Tyler Watts, Jacob Sports and girlfriend Jess Creech; great-grandchildren, Camden and Caylor Johnson; brother, Billy Watts; brother-in-law, Jimmy Sutton and wife Ann; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane and W.C. Burgess, Julia McMahan, Wanda Henry; sister-in-law, Ruby Watts, Ruth Parton and husband Jack, Patsy Parton, Kay Seibers and husband Troy, Glenda Sutton; a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Sevier County EMS who responded in their time of need.
