He was preceded in death by his parents James Riley Ball and Myrtle Justus Ball, brothers Ben Ball, Jess Ball, Dallas Ball, Joseph Ball and Robert Ball, sisters Lucinda Dunn and Nancy Cagle. He is survived by his wife Thelma Ball, daughters Evelyn Shults, Melissa McCarter, Cathy Sutton, and Freda Owens, sons Rex Ball, Billy Ball, and Riley Ball, brother Andy Ball, sisters Rosette McCarter, Annette Lane, Delia Ball and Dovie Ball, 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 8 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Laws officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm prior to the funeral service. Burial will be 11 am Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Fowlers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jason Sutton, Tony Ball, Jason Ball, Cody Stokley, Buddy McCarter, Ronnie Shults, and Randy Shults.
