He was preceded in death by his wife, Loetta Ball; parents, James and Myrtle L. Justus Ball; sister, Cindy Dunn; and grandson, Benny Green. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Earl Wayne and Janella Ball, of Cosby, Glenn and Virginia Ball, and Roy Lee Ball, of Newport; daughter, Geraldine Rice, of Belmont, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessee and Agnes Ball, of Kodak, TN, Rev. Andy Ball, of Sevierville, and Paul and Thelma Ball, of Cosby; sisters, Nancy Cagle, of Newport, Delia and Dovie Ball, of Gatlinburg, Rosette McCarter, of Newport, and sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Carroll Lane, of Kodak; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 step children; and friend, Rosa Lee Cunnip, of Pigeon Forge, TN. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2001, at the Manes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Newman officiating. Interment will be in the Husky Cemetery.
