Resided in Seymour, TN
Robert Montgomery, 79, of Seymour passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was the former personnel manager of Wagner Electric Corporation and later was in management of the Sevier County Bus Garage. Robert was a long-time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Montgomery and Josie Ogle Montgomery; sisters, Bennie Jean Vandergriff, Billie Jo Chambers, Mary Nelle Montgomery, and Ann Montgomery.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joy Troutman Montgomery; sons, Bradley Montgomery and wife, Tami, and Brian Montgomery and wife, Debbie; three wonderful and much loved grandsons, Eric Montgomery, Taylor Montgomery, and Nicolas Montgomery; brothers, Conny Montgomery and wife, Jayetta, and Richard Montgomery and wife, Ann; sister, Jane Reagan and husband, Larry; and numerous special friends, too many to individually name.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Covenant Hospice for their exceptional care.
Family and friends will meet at 11 AM Wednesday, May 3rd at Knob Creek Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. Pastor Keith Vaughan will be officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #104. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour.
