  [S24] The Newport Plain Talk, (http://www.newportplaintalk.com), 25 Aug 2001. Mrs. Estelle Jenkins, age 88, of Cosby, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2001 at Cocke County Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Jenkins; parents, Isaac Allen McMahan and Algie Smith McMahan; 13 brothers and sisters, including brothers: Clay, Stossel, Cecil, and Ardell McMahan; and sisters: Vergie Valentine and Basha Smallwood. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Clark, of Cosby; grandson, Teddy Clark, and wife, Karen, of Knoxville; granddaughter, Sally Clark, of Cosby; two great-grandchildren, Kinsey and Kendall Clark, both of Knoxville. Sisters, Georgia Lindsey, of Newport; Ruby and husband, Bill Williamson, of Cosby. Brothers-in-law, Charles Jenkins, and wife, Betty, of Newport; and Roy Jenkins, of Cleveland, OH; sisters-in-law, Lucille Jenkins and Margaret Andrews, of Newport; Barbara Ann Boles, of Greeneville. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at 8:00 p.m. at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Cleo Williamson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2001 at Ogle Hill Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Liberty Church in memory of Mrs. Jenkins.
