He was a member of Fort Hill Baptist Church and a US Army veteran of World War II serving 4 years, 8 months in Germany during the Battle of the Bulge. Survivors: wife, Trula Ogle; sons, Steve Harrison and Jerry Beason; grandchildren, David Beason and Gill & Jerry Lynn, twins of Washington state; brother, Carl Ogle; sisters, Louise Yardley and Pearl Fleck; several nieces, nephews; brothers in law, and sisters in law whom he loved very much; special friends, Jason Stone, Richard Johnson, Jean Chaney, Kyle Ridenour and Bobby Flatford. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday Mynatt's Chapel. Rev. Burney Hutchinson, Rev. Jack Walker officiating. Family & friends will meet at Hutchinson Cemetery (Byrams Fork Rd.) at 10 a.m. Tuesday for graveside service. Military honors will be presented by East Tenn. Veterans Honor Guard.
