Mrs. Elizabeth “Bo Bee” Fowler Pate, 91, of 132 Forest Heights Drive in McAdenville, North Carolina, died on Monday, March 24, 2003, at her residence.
A native of Jefferson County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Kate Allen Fowler. She attended Life Church in Cramerton, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Garfield Pate; by an infant son, Clyde Garfield Pate; by a late brother, J.W. Fowler; by four late sisters, Addie Fowler, Beulah Allen, Sarah Shelton, and Minnie Whittington.
Mrs. Pate is survived by four daughters: Peggy Burgess Black and her husband, Harrill, of Gastonia, NC; Shirley Fulbright, of McAdenville, NC; Nancy Norris and her husband, Victor, of Lowell, NC; and by Betty Lackey and her husband, Prue, of Easley, SC.
She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Alexander, of Spencer Mountain, NC, and Nannie Burgess, of McAdenville, NC; by nine grandchildren and by fifteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mrs. Pate will be held in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors in Gastonia, NC, on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Sammy Oxendine officiating.
The family will receive friends at McLean Funeral Directors in Gastonia on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.
Interment will follow the funeral at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
