Addie Kate Fowler, 85, 132 Forest Heights Drive, died July 31, 2001, at her residence.
Ms. Fowler was a native of Jefferson County, TN, the daughter of the late William J. and Kate Allen Fowler. She was a member of McAdenville Baptist Church, and was retired from Pharr Yarns after many years of service.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Fowler was preceded in death by her brother, J.W. Fowler, and sisters, Sara Shelton, Minnie Whittington and Beulah Allen.
Ms. Fowler is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Pate, of the home, Nanny Burgess, McAdenville, and Betty Alexander, Spencer Mountain; special nieces, Peggy Burgess Flack, Gastonia, Shirley Fulbright, McAdenville, Nancy Norris, Lowell and Betty Lackey, Easley, SC; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Ms. Fowler will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at 4 p.m., at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Andy Raines. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2001, at 2 p.m. at French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery, Dandridge, TN.
