Oliver Clarence Barnes, 75, of Sevierville, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016. He was born February 27, 1941. Clarence was a hardworking man who loved his family. He helped everyone he knew. Clarence loved being a farmer. He gave vegetables, honey and eggs to all. Clarence loved working with his bees and chickens. He also enjoyed woodworking and sharing his creations with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Annie Barnes; brothers, Rex, Roy, and Walter Barnes; sister, Grace Sturgill and her husband, Kenneth.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Claudia Faye Barnes; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Penny Ogle, Mike and Karen Barnes; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and John Barger, Dana and Shane Latham; grandchildren, Chris Ogle and wife, Amanda, Jessica Ogle, Samantha Carver, Brittany Barger, Dalilah Barger, Tyler Barnes, Theresa Barnes, Makayla Latham, Jace Latham; great-grandchildren, Naomi Ogle, Hannah Ogle, and Micah Ogle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude and Beatrice Barnes, and Dick and Iva Barnes.
Graveside service 10 AM Friday at Boogertown Cemetery with Rev. David Carver officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #104.
