Her kindness will always be remembered. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sturgill; son, John Sturgill; parents, Ben and Ann Barnes; brothers, Rex, Walter and Roy Barnes; and her grandson, Kenneth Townsend. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Starkey and husband, David and Joni Sturgill; granddaughter, Angie Alt and husband, Randy; special great- grandson, Jonathan Sturgill and his fiancé, Ashley Barbee; great- grandsons, Kenneth and Shane Townsend; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Iva Barnes, Clarence and Faye Barnes, Claude and Bea Barnes; sisters-in-law, Johnny and Gladys Coleman; and Grace's pets, affectionately known as her Hounds of Justice, Pete and Bubba. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 PM Friday, January 2nd at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville with the funeral service to follow at 6 PM in the East Chapel with Rev. Benny Gann officiating.
