Brown King, born March 3, 1930, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 26, 2018 to be one of His special angels. To her family and friends she was one of God’s sweetest angels here on earth. She always put her family and friends first. She devoted her life to helping her husband Clell with his ministry in several local churches. She was a member of Conner Heights Baptist Church. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Clell G. King; son Billy E. King; parents Earl and Minnie Manning Brown; sister Juanita Brown Newman. Left behind to grieve are her daughter Doris Ellison and husband Larry Ellison; grandchildren Vicki King, Billy King and Bryan Ellison; great-grandchildren Isaiah King, Jacqueline King, Lindsey Hodge and one great-great-grandchild; brother Roy Brown and wife Ruth; special nieces Diann and Sharon Newman; brother-in-law Charles E. Newman. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Conner Heights Baptist Church, 177 Conner Heights Road, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Hatcher officiating. Family and friends will leave Atchley Funeral Home at 10:30 AM Friday in procession to Middle Creek Cemetery for an 11 AM graveside service and interment.
