The couple were married Nov. 4, 1957 in Newport. The Rev. Gene Jenkins officiated. Their family includes Mike and Suzanne Phillips, of Franklin, Tim and Wendy Phillips, of Maryville, Brian and Jayne Phillips, of Loudon County, and Ronnie Phillips, of Maryville. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Phillips is retired from George W. Reagan after 42 years. Mrs. Phillips is retired from Metzlers.
