Green, age 61, of Hartford went to be with the Lord Tuesday July 5, 2005 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. He was an auto mechanic and was a member of Blacks Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Alton and Nola (Coggins) Green, and brother, Jerry and Johnny Green. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Rita G. Lewis of Luttrell, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Price Jones of Oak Ridge, and Katherine and Steven Davis of Maryville; God-daughter, Christina Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia and Lewis Cagle of Knoxville, Glenda and Frank Reece of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Zachary, Kacie, and Emily Lewis, Haylee Davis, and MaKayla Romines. Mr. Green will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Kirk White officiating. Interment will follow at D. A. Green Cemetery. Military service will be conducted by L’CPL Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 of Newport. The family will receive friends Friday evening July 8, 2005 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
