He was a member of Maples Branch Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Pigeon Forge. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed making walking sticks. He was preceded in death by his parents Harmon and Alma Caughron, sisters Pauline, Lucille, and June, brothers Fred and Johnny. Survivors: Wife of 63 years: Mary Alice Caughron Daughters and Sons-in-law: Betty Finley, Ella and Mark Gibbs, Judy and Jack Maynard Special Grandson: Aaron Grandchildren: Richard Allen, Robin Allen and Ray Miller, Amanda and Michael Bishop, Phillip, Chasity and Jonathan Gibbs, Brittany Benson Great Grandchildren: Katelyn, Austin, Isaac, Jordan, Hunter, Megan, Ellie Kate, and Jackson Great-Great Granddaughter: Olivia Brother and Sister-in-law: James and Sherry Caughron Sisters and Brother-in-law: Faye Statts, Mae and Wade Parton Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law: Norman and Virginia Turpin Several nieces and nephews Special friends: Zeke Ogle, Jack Gilbert, and Phillip Webb.
