HOCKENJOS, CLARICE (CLARK) - age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospice, after a lingering illness. She was of the Baptist faith. A devoted mother and grandmother and good friend to many. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hockenjos; parents, Preston and Iona Clark, and brother, Fred Clark.
Survivors: daughter, Carolyn White; grandchildren, Dawn and Brian White of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Tristan Atherton, Kendra Ridings, and Taylor White; sisters, Jewell Clark, Ailene White, and Wanda Byrd of Sevierville; brother, Wilburn Clark of Seymour. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 31, 2001, at 8 p.m. in McCarty's Evergreen Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smartt officiating. Family and friends will meet in the Woodlawn Cemetery Friday at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. interment service. McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr., in charge of arrangements.
