Tarwater, Paul Anderson –born January 10, 1920, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 at Baptist Hospital after a brief illness with cancer. He was a member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church. Paul retired from Delmar Haynes Pontiac Service Department. Veteran of the United States Army during World War II serving in Normandy with the 2nd Armored Division 92nd Field Artillary. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and Boy Scout Leader and was a member of the VFW, Seymour Chapter. Preceded in death by parents, Marcus and Rachel Williams Tarwater; son, David Tarwater; brothers, Roy, Dallas H. and Fred Tarwater; sisters, Tommie Adams, Grace Julian McAmis, Maxine Gray, Christine Rader and Lilly Tarwater.
Survivors
He is survived by son, Robert Tarwater; daughter, Sharon McCoig; daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Bill Chance; daughter, Paula Fowler; daughter, Tammy Trowbridge; grandchildren, Rebecca Chance, Mysta Farr Johnson, Gary Fowler, Heather Fowler, David Perkins, Michael Trowbridge and Chelsea Trowbridge; great-grandchildren, Emily and Blake Johnson; sisters, Joy Norman and Altha Perry; nieces and nephews.
Service
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Charles Burnett officiating. Family and friends will meet at Boyds Creek Cemetery, Seymour, Tennessee, on Wednesday for 11 AM interment services.
