Mrs. Mary Lou Trentham, 71, of Newport, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lucy Samples, and brother, James (Whistle) Samples. Survivors include her husband, Roy Trentham, of the home; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Bud) and Betty Samples and Bobby R. and Jean Samples; niece, Sandy Samples (Tim) Parker; nephews, Bobby Wayne (Leslie) Samples, Brian Samples, Danny (Kathy) Webb, and Donny (Trish) Webb. Additional survivors include several great nieces and nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Gene Gorrell officiating. Internment will be in Dunn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, prior to the service, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. Arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
